The change of meteorological data in the vertical direction should be taken into account in the evaluation of building energy consumption, and the current typical meteorological year (TMY) data are based on ground observation data, which can not well meet the design requirements of high-rise buildings. Based on the radiosonde meteorological data of Shanghai Baoshan Station, this paper puts forward a correction method of TMY data at different heights, and compares the load simulation results of the modified TMY data with those of the actual meteorological data. The results show that the difference between the simulation results of the modified TMY data and the real data is 3.65% to 13.42%, and the change trends are consistent. Compared with the simulation results of the TMY data at the ground observation, the accuracy of the cooling load and heating load simulation results of the modified TMY data is improved by 2.37% and 4.06%, respectively.
